Wolfsong summary

Wolfsong is the first volume of Green Creek by T.J. Klune, which contains elements of romance, fantasy, and werewolfism. The plot focuses on a young man named Ox Mathieson, who, all through life, has felt like an alien in the community of the small town. He moves away to another home and starts to build his new family friendship with a new neighbor, who is the Garcia family, but they have some things to hide.

As the young man starts living with Garcia, he learns that they are werewolves, and thus, he is introduced to their world of protection, challenges, and magic. Acceptance, love, and the relations between pack members are disclosed, and the growth of relation between Ox and Joe, the family’s unknown but present alpha, is developed.

When the threat of violence between different wolf packs increases and when Ox has to battle his own fears with the approaching storm, he realizes his fate. Wolfsong tells a story of all that it means to be a pack animal and to find love in a cold world while still fighting to keep your loved ones safe from the dangers that exist in the world around us.
