The Perfect Son written by Freida Mcfadden is the story about “Mrs. Cass, we were hoping your son could answer a few questions about the girl who disappeared last night…” Erika Cass seems to have no problems; she looks like she has the perfect family and she seems to live a good life. Until the evening when two detectives come and tell her that her missing husband was found dead the previous night. A high school girl is missing, from the seemingly peaceful Erika’s high school girls’ neighborhood.

There is one problem the police deal with every time they investigate the incident, the worst crime on the surface of the globe, murder! And as for a possible suspect, Erika’s teenage son, named Liam, was the one who had the girl in the last moments of her life. From childhood, Erika had the feeling that there is something wrong and sick inside the seemingly flawless older child of a family. She struggles to have faith in him and doesn’t want to accept but she cannot escape the truth as more evidence accumulated, perhaps Liam is guilty of an awful crime. Now she must ask herself: ‘How far will she go for her son’ is the basic question of the film.
