Losing Hope (Hopeless, #2) by Colleen Hoover Summary

Losing Hope is the second novel of Colleen Hoover’s Hopeless series; the narrative is given the depth of second-person insight on Hopeless’s events. This novel is in the first person narrative where the narrator is Holder (Dean Holder) which makes it possible to understand his emotions and perceptions as he struggles with a sort of bond he has with Sky, the girl whom he has been dreaming about since they met.

Throwing the audience back into Holder’s past, the story focuses on his guilt for the loss of his sister, Les and his preoccupation with the girl who could have saved her. The relationship between Holder and Sky deepens and they both open up about things which have happened in their lives and become closer for it. Another thing that should be mentioned is the fact that the book raises the matters of loss, forgiveness, and the miracles of love when it comes to trauma.
