The plot reveals the passion and sinster experiences of the main character together with her consequences of events from the first novel. Grieving for betrayal and drunken with the desire for revenge she moves further into the world of magic and darkness.

While fighting her foes she also fights her self- desires, and power, as she portrays the character that is ready to punish herself in the name of revenge. It is a story filled with plenty of dramatic turns and designed to tug at heartstrings because friendships are put to the test and truths are revealed. The feeling of suspense pervades the story, it can be considered as a fantasy but there are elements of psychological thriller as well.

All in all, the book goes on developing the sophisticated mythology of the series, while preparing the series to an epic finale.
