Carrie Soto Is Back by Taylor Jenkins Reid

Carrie Soto Is Back Summary
Carrie Soto Is Back written by Taylor Jenkins Reid will center on Carrie Soto a former tennis player who decides to come out of retirement to regain her winning title. Covering this event shows that she has retired for couple of years, but now she discovers that her record is going to be broken by another player and the hunger takes her back to the tennis court.
Carrie’s sexual harassment, her identity, her relationships, and the choices she made for her career are a postmodernist focus of the novel. There are identifiable story genres of personal growth and tenacity, issues of relation and personal best, and, at the same time, a dear father who wanted her to win. Besides this, it places great pressure on Carrie’s sport and dream; at the same time, it reveals Carrie’s weakness and how her return changed the people around her.
Reid holds aspects of sport as a contest in the story and shifts to theme aspects that show growth of character for Carrie who realizes that she is not just a winner.
